State Representative Greg Lavelle Welcomes Public to a Meeting on Blue Ball Barn Project

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 13, 2006
Contact: Stephanie Mantegna, House of Representatives, 302-577-8515

State Representative Gregory F. Lavelle (R-Sharpley) and other Brandywine Hundred area legislators are hosting a town meeting in which the community will get a progress report on the historical Blue Ball Dairy Barn project.

The meeting will be held on Monday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Audion at Brandywine High School at 1400 Foulk Road.

The Division of Parks and Recreation will be on hand to provide an update on the status of this project. Parks Division representatives are planning to give a Power Point presentation showing the improvements to the restored barn and the progression of the renovation process.

The re-construction of the barn is part of a master Blue Ball Properties Project that, when completed, will serve the Brandywine Hundred area with improved roads, better storm water management and enhanced recreational opportunities. The meeting will also include information on some of the amenities of the Blue Ball project, including the active recreational ball fields, bike trails, dog park and children’?s playground.

For more information, please contact House Communications Officer Stephanie Mantegna at 302-577-8515.
