Greg Lavelle Starts His 10th Year Of Coffee And Conversation With Constituents State Representative Greg Lavelle has announced that December marks the beginning of the 10th year he will be holding monthly coffee sessions with constituents. Rep. Lavelle started holding coffee meetings after he was first elected as a way to give residents of the 11th District a chance to ask questions or share their concerns about a district or legislative matter. Rep. Lavelle holds the coffee sessions on the first and third Tuesday of each month between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. at Manhattan Bagel located at 3209 Concord Pike. Constituents are invited to stop by and discuss their issues of concern with Rep. Lavelle while being treated to a free cup of coffee. Of course, realizing that this may not be a convenient time for everybody, Rep. Lavelle is always happy to meet with constituents at times that are more convenient for them. To recognize the start of the 10th year of the coffees, Rep. Lavelle is offering to buy a cup of coffee for anyone who visits Manhattan Bagel on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Customers are not required to stop by Rep. Lavelle’s coffee session in order to get a free cup of coffee. Rep. Lavelle stated, “I have always believed that accessibility to your constituents is an important facet of being a state legislator. I am proud to be marking the start of my 10th year of holding twice a month coffee sessions. I have met some great people from the district over the years and I believe these sessions have become an invaluable tool in helping me serve in our State Legislature.” Have news?
